WE WELCOME YOUR DONATION

DONATE

The positive impact of arts education has been proven by statistics (improved reading, language, and math skills) and by observations (improved thinking, socialibility and discipline). At other art institutions, such as the Dallas Arts Learning Initiative, programs have been built on the idea that “creativity drives learning.” We, at Raw Canvas, believe in that same notion. We want to create a better community one student at a time by giving the youth of St. Louis a chance to learn different and unique forms of expression that can help motivate their community and enhance their self-esteem.

In order to fulfill this vision, we need as much support as possible from people like you. We are in need of donors who believe in our mission and want to see Raw Canvas and the city of St. Louis flourish to greater heights. If you would like to donate to our cause, you can visit us at 14th Street Artist Community. Online donating coming soon!

Thank you so much for your time and support!**

Within the past few decades, the prominence of arts education has slithered away from the United States’ education system. This was caused by budget cuts, extended mandates on classroom curriculum and the profound idea that art is insignificant. The effect of these changes is a decline in the quality of education for K-12 students and a lower standard of academia.

In recent years, the revitalization of arts programs has stimulated the education of students K-12 by increasing test scores and improving attitudes. It has also built a bridge of communication between people of different social and economic backgrounds.

In addition to improving education, the arts has also revitalized neighborhoods, promoted social capital and stimulated the economy, which, furthermore, improves the physical and psychological well-being of the citizens.
